    Description

    1800’s Native American Indian Cutlery Knife and Sheath (Possibly From Scabbard). This knife and sheath is an example of the creative repurposing Native Americans did during the time. The sheath pouch where the knife goes in only is approximately 5 1/8” long and the knife blade only without the handle is approximately 5” long. The overall knife sheath is about 7 7/8” and the overall knife with handle is about 8 to 8 1/8”. The sheath may have been made from an earlier sword scabbard but it is hard to tell with certainty. If so who ever did it back then did a very good job as they fit perfectly together. The knife tip has a slight bend in it you can see in the last pic but the pic makes it look much more so than it is.
